Tuning up the Silverback for DragonCon
The panel was called Inclusive Cosplay, and in hindsight, I’m realizing that was too general of a title for a topic that is so specific and I think some of the people who walked in expected something different to what they got. I’m increasingly certain that I will bring this panel back, slightly retooled and under the title CosplayABLE or CosplayAble or Cosplay-Able, but I need to figure out which arrangement I like best. XD
Also, mad props (ehehehe) to labrattish for co-piloting this Jaeger of a project with me. Shout out to kabegamichu for providing knowledge on how to work with EVA foam! Also-also, thanks to aracknoid3 for letting me use his picture in the PowerPoint, though I hope he doesn’t mind that I gush about how great his cosplaying is, because seriously, it’s really great. I probably could have done several slides on his work, but I didn’t because we only had 90 minutes.
I would really, really love to hear feedback from people who watch the entire thing. I felt like the audience either didn’t know what to ask or where hesitant to ask questions (again, because they might have expected something different out of the panel), and it’s very important to me to know how I can make this panel better or more informative for the next time around.
Here’s something I’ve been working on between projects. I hope you like it :)
